Wel-Made Cornbread

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (110 g) Cambrooke Wel-Made Baking Mix
  • ¼ cup (55 g) butter, softened
  • 1¼ cup of water
  • 1 tsp (5 g) vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp (6 g) salt
  • ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
  • ½ cup corn starch
  • 3 tsp (14 g) baking powder
  • ½ cup corn meal
Directions
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Grease a 9" x 5" bread loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the all dry ingredients together.
  • Add softened butter then oil, mixing with fingers until crumbly.
  • Gradually mix in the water until combined and smooth.
  • Pour mixture into the greased loaf pan and bake for 15 to 25 minutes until baked through.
  • Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
